Install Omoron Switch Buttons for DSE Shoulder R1/L1 Bumper R2/L2

Installation Steps
1. Shoulder L1/R1 Omoron Switch Buttons
1.1 Disassembly DSE
Prepare L1/R1 Omoron Switch: Cut off the metal contacts at both ends of the microswitch.

Soldering jumper wires

1.2 Put in the Omoron Switch
Put it in to the location of shoulder, tilt the Omron Switch in the suite location(inside of the module) like below


1.3 Link the wire(from Omoron Switch) to the mini-board of the module






1.4 [optional]Special customization
If we ONLY need Omoron Switch on Shoulder L1/R1(and not changes to the Bumpers L2/R2), we need to cut the Conductive adhesive in below shape:


2. Bumper L2/R2 Micro-Switch Buttons
Disassembly DSE

2.1 Prepare L2/R2 Omoron Switch
Soldering 2 jumper wires on both end of Micro-Switch

2.2 Put in the Omoron Switch in 3D printing helper
And put in the 3D printing helper to the module



2.3 Link the wire(from Omoron Switch) to the mini-board of the module



3. Bumper L2/R2 Micro-switch double-stage(Advance)
Need special addtitional 3D priting helper for double-stage switch between original Bumper and Omoron Switch Bumper.


There is 3 positiions for Edge’s L2 R2 Bumper
first position: it has large room to push/trigger; stay original
second position: it has mid room to trigger; stay original
last position:
Original: small room;
Now: becomes omoron switch to trigger/click
3.1 Prepare 2 Omoron Switch
Prepare L1/R1 Omoron Switch: Cut off the metal contacts at both ends of the microswitch.
After done cutting the little metal at the both end of Micro-Switch, AFTER the little metal cut, cut additional plastic near the white trigger point. See blelow in detail:

Soldering 2 jumper wires on the both point of Omoron switch
3.2 Disassembly DSE’s Bumper module


3.3 Put/Replace the 3D helper into the Bumper module and lock it

test the location and move the switchs between 3 different position, make sure the move is smooth
3.4 Put in the Omoron Switch into the 3D helper and lock it using glue
Use few glue at the back of Omoron switch and put it in the 3D printing helper; so the Omron switch will be locked, stay at the right location.(see above image, and there will be 2 wires at both end of customizaed/cutted Omoron switch)
3.5 Cut the Bumper cap
Original: 
The white little 3D printing helper is used to put in the hole of the Bumper cap
Cut the cap:

We cut the cap since the original cap will be stuck by the omoron switch, after the cut, all three positions of the bumper will not touching the Omoron switch body.



3.6 Put the 3D printing helper in the Bumper cap
We will use the 3D printing little helper to touch/click the Omoron switch,
use few glue at the hole of bumper cap to lock the white 3D printing little helper with the bumper cap.

This small white 3D printing helper will touch the Omron Switch white point for triggering.
3.7 Assembly the Bumper module to test 3 different position of the switch
See below 3 different positions:



3.8 Glue the wire gently and link it to micro-board of Bumper
Omoron switch’s 1 wire link to L2/R2, another wire link to GND


3.9 Assemble the Bumper using original screws

Aseembly it and test the three different location of the Bumper switch

3.10 Cut the back shell of the DSE for the new Bumper

Cut the position of both hole for both Bumpers

Use this step of cutting to make sure the bumper smooth switches between 3 different position of switches.
3.11 Assemble and test
